Artful Crafting – Challenge 8 Water Coloring

Hello Everyone! :) Time certainly flies, im back again with my project for Artful Crafting’s Challenge #8 which is Water coloring!

Water Coloring is all the rage these days and was super excited when I got to know that was going to be the theme for the new challenge. Honestly I had not experimented much with water coloring myself so I was looking forward to getting down to it myself. I got a wonderful box of Prima Watercolor Pencils – The Basics set from Artful Crafting as the kit for this month.

Flowers & Gold – PART 2

Alright so here is Part 2 of the Flowers & Gold post, with the second card im entering in to the Altenew September – Windsor Castle Challenge.

For the second card I again stamped the two solid flowers twice each on to the watercolor cardstock in picked raspberry ink but shaded them using black soot this time to make them darker. After I had colored them in I fussy cut all four of them along the edges leaving a white border. I die-cut some gold cardstock (loved the color, neither too yellow or too dull) using the biggest of the damask motifs from the respective spellbinders shapeabilities die set to use as base for the flowers. I prepped a A6 top-folding white cardstock card base with a slightly smaller white cardstock layer on top mounted using fun foam and added a black ink splatter on to it. Then I arranged the two diecuts and added the flowers in a vertical alignment. Finished off with the ‘You Are Awesome!’ sentiment from Label love right in the middle and going across the card and added a few matching gold sequins to complete the look.

Flowers & Gold – PART 1

Hello Everyone :)

With all the watercolor craze in the air, I decided to put to use a gorgeous stamp set from Altenew, the Lacy Scrolls, which I very recently acquired (more like got hold of it yesterday and have been playing with it all day today :P). The stamps are solid stamps and not outline ones but I had a lot of fun shading them in and made two CAS cards to go with the Altenew September Windsor Castle challenge. I just loved the inspiration pictures for the challenge and had to participate, luckily I got hold of the stamp set in time :)

Im splitting the post in two parts so I can enter both cards into the challenge with separate links…

Artful Crafting – Challenge 7 Heat Embossing

It seems only a few days ago we announced challenge 6 and a month flew by so fast! and to top it off more like 7 months since the journey began!

Artful Crafting is back with challenge 7 – heat embossing, a super fun theme. And what makes it more fun is the products that each of the design team members are using are different from just using an embossing ink with embossing powder :D Definitely you must visit every member’s blog and take time out and read through, lots of fun and lots to learn and get inspired.

I got to work with Ranger’s Sticky Embossing Powder and Distress Dry Glitter in Clear Rock Candy which was super fun and my first time using both the products, and I started straight off forgetting to even take a picture of the sealed kit.
