Of Tea & Love…

My second last post – Crafty KickStart 16

Hello :)

Hope everyone has been doing well and enjoying the harsh and the not-so-harsh winter months. Its pretty chilly down here in Chattar and we’re mostly staying indoors after 5 in the evening curled up in a heated room somewhere and not wanting to get up and shift to a less warmer seat lol.

Recently got a request from a friend to customize a tea gift box for her Mother-in-law for her birthday, similar to one I had done earlier. I havnt shared with her yet so just uploading a few teasers.

Here is a picture of the previous one, the new one is essentially the same. For more pictures of the previous one do have a look at the respective album on my facebook page

Her Mother-in-law’s favorite color is peach, so I decided to dig out some foil papers from the Peachy Keen DCWV stack and work with one of those. The box measures 7″x 9″ in size and is pretty sturdy, made from 250 g/m paper and the sides of the box are doubled for both the base and the lid. Used some spellbinders die cuts, along with a peach colored resin heart, a spoon, teapot and love charm, mft flourishes on either side along with some mulberry flowers. Finished off with some punched flutters, sequins and diy enamel dots.

For the tea bags itself, designed the sachets on Photoshop, which are basically like sleeves with the tea bags tucked inside. She is fond of Lemon Green Tea by Lipton so the tea bags are those and then each sleeve has a quote/wish. Had them printed on matt paper as well as the tea bag tags.

Thats all I have to share today. Hope you all liked it :)

Perfect gift for tea-aholics! I think i’ll make one for myself (since i began crafting professionally ,my sisters have stopped even cutting a piece of paper . so no chance getting a gift- hehe)
Peach is such a difficult color to work with whether paper craft or clothes . I totally avoid it. You’ve pulled it off with such ease. Three cheers for you!

Yes please do make one for yourself that would be great :D Ill make one for myself too!
Coral and Peach tones are my favorite! and I hardly ever get to work with them, so had fun :)

      Thank you Ayesha! :)
I store my die-cuts the same way I store my dies/stamps/stencils in ziploc bags. If I have the corresponding die then I just store the diecuts in the same bag, if I dont like the die-cuts we received from the swaps, I have them in separate bags labelled the same way brand, die and the code and I even have the name of the person who shared the die-cuts in case I want more I know who to get it touch with :D

Amna, both the blue and peach combination are rocking. The peach one with biscuit colored resin embellishment seems spot on for the tea bag box. I love the feel a handmade gift gives. Its priceless.
