Flowers & Gold – PART 2
Alright so here is Part 2 of the Flowers & Gold post, with the second card im entering in to the Altenew September – Windsor Castle Challenge.
For the second card I again stamped the two solid flowers twice each on to the watercolor cardstock in picked raspberry ink but shaded them using black soot this time to make them darker. After I had colored them in I fussy cut all four of them along the edges leaving a white border. I die-cut some gold cardstock (loved the color, neither too yellow or too dull) using the biggest of the damask motifs from the respective spellbinders shapeabilities die set to use as base for the flowers. I prepped a A6 top-folding white cardstock card base with a slightly smaller white cardstock layer on top mounted using fun foam and added a black ink splatter on to it. Then I arranged the two diecuts and added the flowers in a vertical alignment. Finished off with the ‘You Are Awesome!’ sentiment from Label love right in the middle and going across the card and added a few matching gold sequins to complete the look.
So here are both of them together :) These are my first ‘watercolored’ cards and am entering for the first time in any challenge and so am looking forward to getting feedback from all of you. The close-up pictures didnt turn out too well, will take them again tomorrow, since its night time now and will update the post accordingly. Looking forward to participating in the next challenge from Altenew already! :D
Here’s to a lot of challenges and lots of fun in the coming days. Hope my cards serve as inspiration for you all to participate and join in too! Will be having the diy enamel dots post up in a day or two.
