Flowers & Gold – PART 1
Hello Everyone :)
With all the watercolor craze in the air, I decided to put to use a gorgeous stamp set from Altenew, the Lacy Scrolls, which I very recently acquired (more like got hold of it yesterday and have been playing with it all day today :P). The stamps are solid stamps and not outline ones but I had a lot of fun shading them in and made two CAS cards to go with the Altenew September Windsor Castle challenge. I just loved the inspiration pictures for the challenge and had to participate, luckily I got hold of the stamp set in time :)
Im splitting the post in two parts so I can enter both cards into the challenge with separate links…
For the first card I laid out all the stamps onto Canson 300gms aquarelle cardstock (cut to size of the card front)in an arrangement I liked and then stamped out all the ‘vines and scrolls’ in versamark and gold heat embossed them. After which I stamped the two solid flowers from the set using the picked raspberry distress ink. I shaded in the flowers using seedless preserves distress ink and a sakura water brush. I added the ‘Thank you’ sentiment stamped in black also from the Altenew stamp set Label Love and added a few black enamel dots that I made today as well (a separate post coming up on that too :D). Since the card was ‘left heavy’ I mounted it on a top folding A6 size black card base using some fun foam to add dimension and aligned it to the bottom left of the card base so the black edge on the top right could balance it out.
For the second card do check my next post on the blog…
See you there,
